Falcon Coach Hire Ltd is owned and operated by the Falconer Family, founded by Kenny Falconer who has been providing passenger transport since 1972. Back then Kenny ran Falcon Taxis, a small Aberdeen based taxi company that starting with only one car.
One car soon became two and two became three and so on. After decades of working the streets of Aberdeen, Kenny wanted to try and move away from late night and weekend Taxi work and venture into contract work, winning contracts with both Schools and Social Work departments.
Kenny was an early adopter of Wheelchair accessible vehicles and had now gathered a small fleet of Wheelchair accessible Minibuses providing transport to ASN children. Kenny was also part of the Taxi card scheme providing discounted travel of disabled passengers.
In 1996, Falcon Coach Hire Ltd was formed to accommodate the increase of vehicles and staff required to accommodate the increase in contracts awarded and the expanding contract work side of the business.
Falcon Coach Hire have continued to provide a quality service for many years with a small to medium fleet that was deliberately kept at a manageable size, leading up to 2009.
In 2009 Kenny’s sons Alan and Craig Falconer took control of the company. With the addition of Alan and Craig to the company there was a desire to build and expand the company. The first year saw the fleet expand by over 50% with the addition of more long-term contracts. Year on year the company continues to make improvements and has expanded with the addition of more long-term contracts, vehicle and staff. This has seen the company out grow and move premises several times to accommodate the growth. The company currently operates two sites, Office and vehicle repair facilities.
